Things to Know Before You Go

The Good

1. The owners take a great deal of pride in their ability to maintain a quality economy hotel in the expensive neighborhood of Laguna Beach, so they respond quickly and effectively to guests concerns
2. Usually the lowest hotel room rates you're going to find in Laguna Beach, if price is "the" factor for you- make your reservations at Art Hotel
3. Good size rooms for the price
4. Great for families and pet-friendly

The Bad

1. You're going to be one mile from the downtown shopping district, if being in the center of everything is important to you, you might enjoy a different location
2. This property is not "on" the beach, its across Coast Highway, be prepared for a short walk and some stairs to get you down to the sand
3. You may hear Coast Highway traffic noise, especially during the busy summer months
4. This is a family-owned property so some of the rooms have outdated decor, if you must have new accomodations consider one Laguna's luxury resorts
5. Not all rooms are ocean-view rooms, and even then you may have only a partial ocean-view
