6. Standard - budget rooms. No ocean view, but the best room rate for being located at the sand in town

As soon as you exit the Capri Laguna, you're on a one-mile stretch of sand on Laguna's amazing coast. You can turn to the right and head North past Thalia Street Beach towards Main Beach, or you can turn left and head South toward Pearl Street Beach.

1. Main Beach with the lifeguard tower, wooden boardwalk, shopping, and if you continue North you'll find the tidepools
2. Pearl Street Beach with beautiful natural rock formations and tidepools farther South at Wood's Cove

The Good

1. Location - you're on the sand, and within walking distance of restaurants, shops, art galleries, and just about everything you could want in Laguna Beach
2. Price - Capri Laguna room rates are fantastic for an oceanfront property
3. The Grotto service provides towels, lounge chairs, bottled water, beach toys and umbrellas to hotel guests
4. If you get a room with an ocean-view, you're probably going to see some dolphins swimming by!

The Bad

1. No air conditioning, if you're going in the heat of summer, plan on leaving the windows open- or better yet go enjoy the beautiful surroundings
2. Some rooms at this property could use some renovation, some guests have complained about dirty carpets and loose electrical plugs. If you demand five-stars this may not be the right lodging choice for you
