The Cottage Restaurant is located in a historic beach cottage that was built in the classic style of 1917. Throughout the years, several Laguna Beach families have resided in this home.

In 1964 the residence was converted to this historic Laguna Beach restaurant. Many of the features including the original solid oak front door and the colored-leaded glass sideboard doors were found in the garage, along with other historic items including a Los Angeles newspaper bearing World War I headlines.
