The Zinc Cafe and Market is one of Laguna Beach’s hidden treasures when it comes to amazing food. Let me repeat- you will find amazing food at Zinc Cafe!!! In addition, you’ll find a very relaxed atmosphere with most of the seating areas outside tucked under umbrellas for shade. Zinc Cafe serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner- so whatever time of day you want to enjoy this fantastic restaurant, you’ll likely find them open.

I usually go for breakfast and order the Huevos Rancheros with mango-papaya salsa, which is fantastic! But recently, Michelle and I stopped by Zinc Café for lunch. Michelle ordered the Zinc Burger (vegetarian burger) and I decided that I’d try something new and selected the daily quiche special. It was a beautiful day, so of course we sat outside and enjoyed the cool breeze in the shade of the umbrella coverage.

Both dishes were fantastic!!! The Zinc Burger was a huge vegetarian patty hand-packed and busting-out from the Panini bun. And as far as the quiche goes- I’ll confess… most of us guys have no idea what quiche is “supposed” to taste like (and I’m no exception to that rule.) However, I can tell you that it was incredible. The shell was soft and flaky, and the quiche was fluffy and packed full of fresh red peppers. The black bean soup had a spicy kick, and the mixed green salad, with feta, tomatoes, and balsamic vinegar made for an excellent blend of tastes!

The next time you’re going to a casual Laguna Beach Restaurant, go to Zinc Cafe. Just like many locals, it will quickly become one of your regular stops in Laguna!

If you don’t have time to stop for a meal, run into the “market” on the left side and pick-up something to go. Several of the menu items are available there and after tasting them- you’ll be glad you tried this place out!

Zinc Cafe and Market - Parking

There is metered parking along Ocean Ave which is very close to Zinc Cafe. If don't want to pay for parking, you may also be able to find free parking farther away from the beach in residential neighborhoods, as you long as you don't mind taking a short walk to get back into the downtown shops area.

Zinc Café is a little farther off of the beaten path than many of the chain restaurants, but its well worth the extra steps!!! As you travel up Ocean Ave from PCH, Zinc Café is a few blocks up on the left
